Late Applicant
A late applicant is a person or their dependent who enrolls for dental coverage more than a month after the eligibility date. If someone is a late applicant, they may face a waiting period before they are eligible for coverage. Because being a late applicant can set you up to face waiting periods, it is important to know what the eligibility dates of your coverage are and make sure that you and all of your dependents are enrolled on time. Sometimes if the applicant enrolls just a little after the eligibility date, they are still covered without a waiting period. If you do find yourself in a situation where you or one of your dependents is a late applicant on your insurance policy, you may find that you have to wait before you get coverage. Be sure to plan your dental appointments accordingly so that you are sure to be covered under your dental policy. More Terms Explained here |
